Laynie Tipton serves as Vice President and Co-Founder of Ray4Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing comfort, compassion, and connection to seniors living in nursing homes.

Laynie resides in Monroe, Michigan, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Toledo with aspirations of becoming a Family Health Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about servant leadership and has held numerous leadership positions throughout her college career, including serving as President of the Student Nurses Association. She is also proud to be the youngest member of the Monroe Aging Consortium, reflecting her commitment to advocating for older adults.

In 2019, following the passing of her grandmother, Mary, Laynie co-founded Ray4Hope alongside her mother, Shellie, to honor her grandmother’s legacy through acts of kindness and compassion. Inspired by the loneliness many seniors experience in nursing homes, Laynie is committed to ensuring no resident feels forgotten or alone while encouraging others to make a meaningful difference through kindness, compassion, and service.

Outside of Ray4Hope, Laynie enjoys dancing, painting, crafting, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering throughout her community. She believes every older adult deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved, and that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting impact.
