Shellie Harrington

President & Co-Founder

Shellie Harrington serves as President and Co-Founder of Ray4Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing comfort, compassion, and connection to seniors living in nursing homes.

Shellie resides in La Salle, Michigan, with her husband, Geoffrey. Together they have built a life centered on family, community, and service. Together they have 6 children and 3 grandchildren.

Alongside Geoffrey, Shellie owns and helps manage several local restaurants, including The Quarry, Trapperz, SandBar Grille, and Littley Vinneys. Their businesses have allowed them to stay deeply connected to the community they proudly serve.

In 2019, following the passing of her mother, Mary, Shellie and her daughter, Laynie, founded Ray4Hope to honor Mary’s memory through acts of kindness and service. Inspired by the loneliness many seniors experience in nursing homes, Shellie is passionate about ensuring every resident feels valued, remembered, and loved. Her mission is to raise awareness about senior loneliness while encouraging communities to make a meaningful difference through compassion, connection, and volunteerism.

When she isn’t working or serving through Ray4Hope, Shellie enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, playing Skip-Bo, working out, and traveling to new destinations. She believes that even the smallest act of kindness can bring hope and brighten someone’s day.
